When should we start taking lessons?
As early as possible - as much as 4 to 6 months ahead of time. More time to practice equals more confidence and a great show for your guests!

Oops, the wedding is less than a month away! Is there still time?
Absolutely. This is one time that a little bit of knowledge is NOT dangerous.

How many lesson do we really need to look “good”?
This is different for every couple. It has a lot to do with how good you want to look and how much you are willing to practice on your own. One to two lessons per week will ensure great progress.

What do we dance to? What makes a good wedding song?
Best answer: A song that has meaning to you and represents you both. Beyond that a song with a clear and steady beat is recommended.

One or both of us can’t dance. Is there any hope for us?
Absolutely! - Some focused knowledge and practice will take you into a realm of yet unrealized confidence and comfort. And you’re doing this together!

How much should we expect to practice?
Same old story - the more you practice, the better you become and the more comfortable and confident you feel. Next to me, practice is your best friend.

How can I make my first dance and wedding day even more special?
There are so many things that you can do to make your wedding truly memorable for everyone. Aside from the first dance, some couples seek instruction for the father/bride and mother/groom dances. Wildly popular now are fully choreographed wedding marches that include the entire bridal party. It’s all up to you and how you want to share your special day.
